Hi, I’m Jamie, the founder of Solo Spotlight Media.

As a sports photographer based in London, Ontario, I’ve spent countless hours on sidelines and pool decks. But the inspiration for Solo Spotlight Media didn’t come from professional games—it came from my own living room.

I have three incredibly talented kids, each passionate about competitive sports. My oldest was a dedicated competitive swimmer, pushing the limits in the pool. My two younger are equally competitive on the soccer field, running and playing with heart. I’ve had the privilege of trying to capture their moments of triumph and effort.

Photographing them is a labour of love, but it was also a powerful realization. As a parent, I wanted to see my kids’ best moments. I didn't want to sift through a hundred photos of other children, hoping to catch a glimpse of my own in the background.

And yet, that was the traditional "whole-team" gallery approach I saw everywhere. As both a photographer and a parent, I knew there was a better way. We want to see our athletes shine, to celebrate their effort, and to have a tangible record of their growth and achievements.
